
Baltic Financial Forum (annual conference “Banking and Finance in the Baltics”) is an international financial conference dedicated to the most important developments in the economy, financial sector, as well as banking system development opportunities in the EU countries, CIS and Russia.

Some of the general issues to be discussed at the 14th Baltic Financial Forum are devoted to US subprime mortgage crisis and its impact on the economy and the banking system across the EU and Russia, financial stability and the situation on global financial markets, stagnation on the Baltic States real estate market, the slowdown of the Baltic States’ economies and its impact on the regional business and direct foreign investments.Each year the Forum gathers around 400 participants from European Union countries, Russia and CIS.
Over two days of the Forum, during the plenary sessions speakers and participants discuss the strategic issues that are related to the economies of the Baltic States, their development in the context of the EU, banking system and infrastructure development, investment promotion, Public Private Partnership, financial market supervision and regulation. Professionally advanced parallel sessions devoted to corporate finance, finance management, accounting and audit, asset management and real estate market development are also included in the Forum programme.
The Baltic Financial Forum is organized by The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia, Association of Latvian Commercial Banks, Lithuanian and Estonian bank associations, LBS International Conferences, and Economist Association 2010.
