The Conference on Energy Efficiency and Renewables is going to beheld on 3 - 4 November 2008 in Riga, Latvia. The Conferenceis organized in the framework of the 9th Baltic Economic Forum andis supported by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia.

The Baltic Economic Forum is a traditional meeting place for political and business leaders of the Baltic Statesand neighbouring countries. This year, the Baltic Economic Forum is devoted to the energy efficiency issues, renewable energy resources, as well as new technologies in energy field. Major energy companies from the Baltic countries, Europe, Russia and CIS countries will present their experience in development of energy saving technologies. Special attention will be devoted to the energy efficiency patterns, as well as to significant issues of investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy resources and development.  

The Baltic Economic Forum traditionally is being arranged by entrepreneurial associations of the Baltic States. The 9^th Baltic Economic Forum is co-organized by the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, LBS International Conferences, Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Employers’ Confederation of Latvia, Latvian Economists Association 2010.

The Energy Efficiency and Renewables conference will bring together up to 300 participants: government officials, CEOs of major energy companies, investors and banks representatives, fund managers, energy suppliers, representatives of energy, housing associations, representatives of green associations, academics, production companies - major energy consumers.
