Prior to joining Renaissance Investment Management as Head of Wealth Management, Mr. Alexander Kotchoubey was Head of the Investment Strategy team within Merrill Lynch & Co.-s Investment Wealth Management & Insurance (IWMI) group in New York and responsible for strategic investment advice on global equities while integrating fixed income, F/X and commodity Research into portfolio strategies for ML-s 15,000 global Financial Advisors and their clients. Mr. Kotchoubey was a member of ML-s Global Research and Management-s Investment Strategy Group. Previously, Mr. Kotchoubey was a Director at Medley Global Advisors (founded by George Soros-s ex-Quantum Fund partner Richard Medley) where he led the launch of MGA-s equity product offerings. Mr. Kotchoubey began his career at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) in New York and spent nearly a decade at America-s oldest and largest Private Bank. He graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Russian and East European Area Studies. He studied briefly at Moscow State University and is fluent in Russian and French and conversant in Spanish.

Arun Ratra(born 1965) is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Multi Asset Class Solutions (MACS) within Asset Management division of Credit Suisse. He has spent a major part of his career working for dutch pension funds. He started his career as portfolio manager equities at KPN TPG Pensioen. Hereafter he became Regional manager North and South America at the Pension Fund for the Metal and Technical trades where he was responsible for the management of the bond and equity portfolio's in North and South America. Furthermore, as member of the Investment Policy Committee he was co-responsible for the Tactical Asset Allocation policy setting. Thereafter he became Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the KLM Pensionfunds. In 2002 he was jointly responsible in setting up Pension Factory, a subsidiary of Swiss Re in the Netherlands, to manage small and medium size pension plans where he was the Chief Operating Officer and Director of asset management. In May 2005, he joined Credit Suisse. As CIO he is currently responsible for both Private as well as Institutional assets.

Dr. Scilla Huang Sun joined Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd. in 2008 as head of sector-related and emerging markets equities, and as portfolio manager for the JB Luxury Brands Fund. She joined from Clariden Leu where she was head equities and portfolio manager for the Clariden Leu Luxury Goods Equity Fund for eight years, after six years at Julius Baer where she was an analyst responsible for Asian equity strategy. She received the Lipper Awards in 2007 for managing the best cyclical consumer goods equity fund over both three and five years. She began her career in 1993 at J.P.Morgan in Zurich and New York, after graduating summa cum laude with a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Zurich.

Philip has worked in the art world for eighteen years and is the founder of The Fine Art Fund. Previously, he spent over a decade working for Christie’s, which he joined from KPMG. During his time at Christie’s, he was Finance Director, Deputy Managing Director and he managed the European Old Masters Business and went on to run part of Christie’s highly regarded fine art-dealing operation. At 33, he became the youngest member of the Christie’s International Management Board.
Karen Aslanian

Born in 1973, Mr. Karen Aslanian studied linguistics at the Moscow State Pedagogical University and graduated with distinction in 1995. Subsequently he studied Banking, Finance and Capital Markets at the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), where he graduated as MBA in 1999. In 2001 he rounded up his studies with a dissertation on the Russian Banking Sector at the Institute for Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow.

From 1999 Mr. Aslanian worked at Schroder Solomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) in London as an Associate at the Mergers & Acquisitions department. He specialized on the execution of transactions in the automotive, utility and engineering sectors working also in Frankfurt and New York.

From spring 2002 he continued his career in the Private Banking division of Credit Suisse in Zurich as Relationship Manager at the Eastern European department. He focused his acquisition efforts primarily on Russia and Ukraine.

At the end of 2006 Mr. Aslanian joined Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie - a privately owned banking institute founded in 1976 - as Vice President in the Private Clients Unit. He is responsible in particular for Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Uwe Eschner

Uwe joined Euram Bank as Director Private Banking in October 2001 from Anglo Irish Bank Austria AG, where he was Head of Private Banking CEE for four years. Uwe held the position of Vice President specializing in investment banking and private banking.      

Between 1992 and 1996 Uwe worked at Bankhaus Kathrein as Head of International Banking with responsibility for commercial and private banking. At that time he began to build up and develop extensive contacts to Central Eastern European countries. Prior to that Uwe was with Bank Austria in the New York branch, acting as Assistant Treasurer as well as Head of the Austrian Desk.     

Uwe began his career at Investkredit as a specialist for project financing. He is fluent in German, English, and Russian.

He also is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Riga Stock Exchange (part of OMX Group).
